PAUL FEENEY - NEW TRFC DIRECTOR OF RUGBY......

With over 100 games for Takapuna as a Player, 2 years as our Championship winning Coach and 66 games for North Harbour we are delighted to announce that International Rugby, Super Rugby and Provincial Rugby coach, Paul Feeney will be taking on the role of Director of Rugby for TRFC.

The experience and professionalism Paul brings to TRFC is immeasurable. Since becoming a full-time coach in 2002 Paul has been at the forefront of Rugby both nationally and internationally, with a myriad of learnings which he'll bring to Takapuna.

With the ever-changing Rugby landscape, in particular at Grassroots level, Paul will be a significant asset to the Club in helping with the continued establishment of an environment that is progressive and inclusive. He will build on the outstanding contribution over recent years of Aaron Katipa and other club volunteers, by helping to develop excellence while supporting players of all ages and abilities both on and off the field. Connecting and upskilling our Players and Coaches at both Junior and Senior grades will be a key component of Paul's role.

Paul's enthusiasm in joining the team is reflected in his quote below....

"Having started my rugby playing at Takapuna as a junior in 1970, playing over 100 games, coaching the prems it was an easy decision to come back to the only club I have been involved with in North Harbour and to finish my rugby career at the 'Puna'.

"I would like to thank the board for this opportunity as I take a new role helping players, coaches alike in the club and hopefully adding more championships in the future to the most successful club in North Harbour's history. I'm excited by the challenge and can't wait to get into it".

We're all very excited to welcome back a past Takapuna player and coach, who since retiring as a player has gone on to enjoy a very successful 26year rugby coaching career all over the world.

Paul's impressive CV detailed below only reiterates the knowledge and exceptional value he will be bringing to Taka...
