In 1973 the Takapuna Rugby Clubrooms were opened, having relocated from Taharoto Road in what can only be described as a monumental decision given that an entire building needed to be constructed and funded that would house changing facilities, meeting rooms and the main Club Lounge itself.
The blood, sweat, time and dollars to complete this project is a testament to the passionate and staunch supporters of Takapuna. Our Clubrooms now sit as an iconic and integral part of the Harbour Community utilised by you and the myriad of events it’s hosted over the past 45 years.
We can all lay claim to special memories and moments that being part of Takapuna has given you which, we now pass on and watch our children, grandchildren, friends begin to create their own.
45 years of use sees us now in a position where substantial maintenance on the Clubroom’s Roof needs to be repaired so we can all continue and enjoy our facility safely and without having to wear a raincoat inside!
Your financial support for this project is vital to our continued success and needs to remain separate from our day to day operational expenses, sponsorships and donations which keep the Club viable and our players, coaches and managers with the necessary equipment and gear each Season.
Our target is $50,000 and the Club are extremely pleased to kick start this off with a $20,000 contribution to the goal.
We are asking our entire Takapuna Rugby Community to help us “Nail This” in time for the start of the 2018 Season by purchasing either as an individual, family or business, one, two or a bunch of Nails!
Only $250 a Nail and in recognition of your contribution once our Goal is achieved you will receive permanent acknowledgement in the Clubrooms.
Nails can be bought online through the website, via eftpos or Credit Card at the Club, we also accept cheques and for any who wish to make a larger donation we can sell you the Hammer!
