The Takapuna Rugby Management committee are delighted to announce the 2019 Premier One and Under 21's coaching staff.  

PREMIER ONE

We are delighted to announce that Blair Urlich and Aaron Katipa will lead the Takapuna Premier coaching team in 2019 – Blair has a long and valued association with Club as a Player and Coach, 7 Championship wins as a player, 1 Championship win and 3 Semi Finals as a Coach and you can’t forget 28 games for Harbour alongside NZ Maori and the Blues representation.

Aaron brings with him strong experience from his coaching time at Westlake Boys where he coached the 1st XV in 2017.

UNDER 21's

Hamish McKerrow has been appointed as Head Coach of the Takapuna Under 21’s side – Hamish is currently involved in the Westlake Rugby Academy and is a Physical Education Teacher at the School.  Hamish will be supported by Che Muller, Che is the current Director of Rugby at Kelston Boys and Fraser Brown who will be Head Trainer and Assistant Coach, Fraser also has a long relationship with the Club as current player including trainer of the 2018 championship winning Under85kgs team with a number of years working in the Westlake Rugby Academy.
