It is with much sadness that we let our TRFC Rugby community know of the passing of Keith Grimwood yesterday morning.
Keith has been a fixture and fitting at Takapuna Rugby, in the Clubrooms or on the sideline for more years most of us can count. Though less mobile in recent times this never put him off coming to our Premier home games, critiquing the game with a pint in the boardroom and catching up post-match with all his buddies.
A Life Member and Coach from Juniors to Seniors. One of the Founding Members that built our Clubrooms alongside Charlie Bancroft, Norm Bancroft and Keith Stick. Keith also instigated our President’s team, Grimwoods Guerillas and remains to this day a legendary Member of this elite team!
An absolute Taka Rugby stalwart, a respected and much loved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many (as long as they wore Blue & Gold), he will be missed by us all.
Heartfelt condolences to Lorraine, Rodney, Margaret & their families.
At this time due to Lorraine being unwell there is no Funeral notice announcements. We ask that their privacy is respected at this time so they can concentrate on getting Lorraine better and being able to then celebrate Keith’s life.
There are without a doubt a long list of memories to be shared so please don’t hesitate to tell us about them in the comments.
Safe travels Keith and Kia Kaha Lorraine
From your Takapuna Rugby family
